Page 1: A golden swan lives near a pond. She visits a poor family and gives them one golden feather each day. Page 2: The mother says to her daughter, "If the swan gives us a golden feather every day, she must be made of solid gold inside. We should catch her and take all the gold." / ತಾಯಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ, "ಹಂಸವು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗರಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರೆ, ಅವಳು ಒಳಗೆ ಘನ ಚಿನ್ನದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರಬೇಕು, ನಾವು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು."

Page 3: The daughter says, "No, mother! She gives us one golden feather every day. That is enough." But the greedy mother does not listen to her daughter. / ಮಗಳು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ, "ಅಲ್ಲ, ತಾಯಿ! ಅವಳು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಒಂದು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಗರಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅದು ಸಾಕು." ಆದರೆ ದುರಾಸೆಯ ತಾಯಿ ಮಗಳ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
